Kamu Sayangku

Kamu tu macam kain sutera putih.
Lembut, halus, bersih.
Aku sayang kamu, wahai Anggun.
Macam aku sayang darah daging aku.
Aku sayang kamu lebih kerana kamu saudara baru.
Aku sedih. Sebab aku hanya mampu bingit pada kamu
dgn taipan YM, dengan Emoticon.
Yang mungkin pada kamu tidak bererti langsung.
Aku benci.
Mungkin aku belum cukup bersungguh berdoa.

(QS. Al-Mu’minun: 117).

Almost Went Bananas

Alya wasn't pink in health these few weeks. She was having viral fever with cough and flu. I wasn't well before that. She MUST HAVE gotten the infection from me. Her fever was fairly low graded but coughing and blocked nose troubled her sleep. Appetite was decreasing. Poor Alya.
She was always in a bad mood but actively playing and crawling and standing up and pulling and picking things up to put in her mouth. That's Alya.
Doc gave her Sy. Klacid for 6 days plus some other symptomatic meds.
He started her on antibiotic coz he said Alya's throat was slightly red.
Yeah... I know. I was a nurse in Paeds Ward. It was totally different to nurse your own child then my own patients.
She was okay with her meds. I tasted those meds. Wasn't that bad taste afterall except for flu med and Klacid. Upon the completion of her Klacid fever and flu was almost gone. From my past experience, I know that the cough would be the last thing to go. Monitored her temp every now and then. Gave her plenty of fluid too. I could say that she was almost recovering as she was afebrile. No fever at all. Alhamdulillah..

One night her fever relapsed. Now, this second episode of fever worried me enough to bring her to the Gov clinic for a blood test. (Million thanks to Yati and Paie coz they both brought us to the clinic) I saw the result myself and again it was viral. The Doc said the same thing. Phewww.. It was just another viral fever on top of another. Still, pity her. A day after that her flu came back. Her mood swings kicked in. She was clingging to me all the time. This situation went on for 2-3 days. I was exhausted and devestated. :( I really, really felt as if I was going bananas! Subhanallah!! (At the same time, my hubby was not well too. A trip to an Island caused it. :( )

I thank Allah the Almighty that He answered my prayers. Alya now is on the road to recovery. Appetite is back.
Afebrile or not she is still active as her energy is endless!! (Papa recovered well too, next time drink plenty of mineral water (NOT R.O water) when exposed to sun for a long time, ok?? )
